40th Anniversary

~ Release by Manfred Mann’s Earth Band (see all versions of this release, 1 available)

Annotation

The set comprises the CDs, a 36-page booklet of the band’s history, a 32-page book of Manfred Mann’s own memories and anecdotes and a poster of the current band. The catalogue CDs (CD 2 to CD 20) have been remastered and repackaged in LP-style sleeves. The albums have the original UK running order and refreshed sleeves. The set was offered in addition to standard retailers also through the artist’s website with the book of stories signed by Manfred Mann.

Promotion text on the box: “This box set contains 18 classic Manfred Mann albums plus two previously unreleased bonus CDs Live in Esslingen 2011 & Leftovers, a double-sided poster, 32 page booklet of extensive notes & an exclusive case bound collection of Manfred’s short stories!”

This promotion text says the box consists of 20 CDs. In fact, it consists of 21 CDs.

Apparently, there have been changes during production. An example: “CD3” can be read in the matrix of CD 2. Such irritations can be observed in the majority of the CDs.
