Rhapsody ΧΧΙΙ: The eagle and the lion (Live Demo)

The mythology of the ancient world is full of heroic figures, tragic incidents and moral lessons. Homer, the father of rhapsodies, in his epos "Iliada" narrates among others the battle between Achilles and Hektor.
Despite the fact that across the world Achilles is the heir, Ektor is the figure that combines all the virtues such as bravery, altruistic behaviour, savior of his people.
We try to present you the other side. The defender, the father, the son. The music along with the voice travels you through the events of the fight, the invocation of the gods and finally the lament of his parents.

Lyrics:
The eagle seizes his enemy's stand,
a blur full of hate commands now his will,
Minerva will help him, the wind closes in,
The son of Thetis raised in the Styx.

He's the lion, how strong is his will,
the highest the purpose, the bravest the skill,
"The shield and the helmet, to Apollo I pray,
in order to help me to protect my family".

Sword against sword.

Fighting for purpose,
fighting for peace (to kill).

Priamus's crawling: "Oh no my son".
Hecabe into the tears: "Why, oh my Gods?
You chose to take the brightest of our sons".

He was the first one of the troyans, no need for further words.
The highest was his oath, his land now to defend.
