Beyond the Bounds ft. Matt Black (Coldcut)

Hello folks.

So to avoid lockdown insanity (and driven by a need for hugs, gigs, Indian restaurants, social engagements and space), I made this music video.
Having been home-bound with a great stack of records, I realized how their tangible presence represented the reality I sorely missed. Simply because you can touch, feel, spin, drop, take care of, get-to-know/love-over-a-long-time, waggle, worry about, rub, play, fully-appreciate-the-artwork-of, hug, scratch and sniff.. records.

So, this video is all about those funny vinyl discs in their colourful cardboard homes, and has been the most challenging project of my musical existence, mostly due to embarking on a learning curve of oceanic proportions, and having only just enough patience with which to successfully navigate its depths.
I almost gave up countless times, but lockdown saw to that pretty quick. I mean what else was I going to do? Make another video?

So thanks to a worldwide incarceration, it’s now done, did and dusted. Thanks to all of my fantastic friends who helped with this and who feature in it!
