There are two takes of Don’t You Wear No Black, from the same 1945‐04‐14 session with the Don Byas group featuring Dizzy Gillespie and Sammy Price. This is the take released on LP that is about 27 seconds longer than the original single take, and given the track title What’s the Matter With Me. The single take was released on National Records single 9012 in 1945. Music timing is 2:21 and can be heard here. The takes have distinct solos:
