Annotation

According to two creditable sources, the attribution of this work to Haydn is spurious; it was composed by Adalbert Gyrowetz (nee Vojtěch Matyáš Jírovec, born in České, Budějovice, lived(20 February 1763 – 19 March 1850). However, all recordings that I have found continue to list Haydn, so I guess the jury is still out. Sources:
