This recording is the 2012 remix created specifically for the compilation Greatest Hits.
It is not the same mix as the original album version, even when some DSPs or later reissues reuse the original ISRC.
The 2012 compilation features new Jack Joseph Puig mixes and new 2012 mastering for all nine previously released tracks. These mixes differ audibly from the album versions in balance, EQ, stereo field, and limiting.
In 2015, Universal reissued Greatest Hits and re-ingested metadata using legacy ISRCs, causing several DSPs to display the original album ISRCs on top of the 2012 remixes. This metadata reuse does not indicate that the recordings are identical.
Because the audio content is different, this 2012 remix must remain a separate recording from the original album mix, regardless of ISRC collisions or distributor metadata inconsistencies.
