Bruce and the band rehearsing some weeks before The River tour started in October 1980. Bruce had a roadie film the rehearsals to know how the show and lightning looked like from an audience’s perspective.

This audio is off that professional video. This audio has been taken off a 3rd generation VHS obtained in the 80’s. It is not from other CDs or DVDs in circulation.

I think the sound is better here than in the circulating DVD. This recording has less hiss and background noises. Listen to the samples to decide for yourself if it’s worth downloading.

I’ve edited off all the in between songs noises and silences, leaving only the music and some comments Bruce makes to the band and sound guys. All noises, dropouts and silence moments have been deleted. There are various takes of some of the songs, some are incomplete takes or try‐outs. There’s some speed problems at the beginning of a few songs, but that comes from the original video.
