"this year i lose my mind" is a collection of songs made to fight against the worries that keep me from expressing myself. My worries about my technical skill, about my voice, about my style, about my authenticity, about not being able to make a living in music in 2022 unless I connect myself to existing franchises and beloved inspirations. I am tired of letting these worries keep me from acting, and for those who pick this album up, I'd like to be myself. To "lose my mind" is to pluck the worry out of my brain and put it on the shelf while I create, to make what I really want without restriction and fear. I enjoyed it, and I hope you will too.
