Sometimes the strangest discoveries hide inside things that should’ve been thrown away years ago.

“Empty Tape” was born from the memory of finding an old worn-out cassette buried among forgotten junk. Instead of silence, it contained accidental radio recordings — rare tracks, lost broadcasts, fragments of music I didn’t even remember anymore. Tape hiss, fading frequencies, and the feeling of stumbling into a tiny portal to a past that can’t fully come back.

This release is my first attempt at exploring synthwave territory. Not as a genre exercise or an attempt to recreate familiar clichés, but as a way to capture the atmosphere of late-night radio, faded memories, and music surviving somewhere between static and signal loss.

Ironically, a lot of people seem to enjoy this track more than the music I usually make. Maybe because “Empty Tape” feels less like something composed on purpose, and more like something accidentally rediscovered.
