Annotation
This release is put together from analog recordings made in the 1970s, not the later digital ones of many of the same works.
At least some versions (see the images on the discogs page) credit Sir Charles Groves and the English Chamber Orchestra on tracks 6 and 18 (these tracks are also noted as (P) 1974); however listening to the tracks there is nothing but guitar, so I can only assume these were taken from an earlier release including these artists, which had these credits carried over for some reason. The copy I have (probably purchased in the UK around 2000), while having the same barcode and catalogue number, has a completely different cover and omits these extra credits (although amusingly, the disk itself has had them removed, and the '*' removed from the two tracks - but still has a '*' next to the (P)1974). It also says "Distribution: Sony Music" rather than "Distribution CBS Records" like the one on discogs, and rather oddly has no (P) dates on the cover at all.
All other tracks are (P)1976.
