Formed with the ambitious goal of becoming ‘the most brutal and blasphemous metal act ever’, MARDUK have sweat for over two decades to bring blood, darkness and an unrelentingly extreme brand of metal to the world, rightfully earning a place as one of Sweden’s most famous – or perhaps more accurately, infamous – black metal bands in the process. Unleashed at the very birth of the nineties, the band has continued to shed its skin, serpentine-like from album to album, each time revealing new layers, both subtle and stark, that have kept them at the forefront of the genre. After the stunning success of the band’s latest opus “Serpent Sermon” the band teamed up with Century Media Records for a series of reissues that invite you to discover the band’s devilish history from its raw early beginnings up until now.

Created in close cooperation with the band, this re-release of 2003's "World Funeral" features remastered sound, revamped artwork and exclusive bonus material: a cover version of “Phantasm” (originally by thrash gods POSSESSED) and a previously unreleased 6-track rehearsal.
