Annotation

This release, identified by catalog number "9 21490-2", was packaged in two different formats : Cardboard Sleeve and standard Jewel Case. The covers are only slightly different with the Jewel Case version denoting the Catalog # in small black lettering in the lower left hand corner and the Cardboard sleeve version omitting it. The back cover and medium are identical.

The official Depeche Mode website information states that early pressings were of the Cardboard sleeve version (http://archives.depechemode.com/discography/singles/25_enjoythesilence.html) however this user purchased the jewel case version immediately following the release date and the cardboard sleeve version was not seen available for purchase in a retail store (as new) until some time later.
