"Mukti" is an Assamese's first siblings duo album sung by Zubeen Garg along with his sister Jonkie Borthakur. It was released on 17 November 1997 in Cassette and on 8 January 1998 in Audio CD, marked the First Assamese Audio CD album. They drew their inspiration from Indian sibling's duo singers Shaan and Sagarika as well as Pakistani sibling's duo singers Nazia and Zoheb Hassan. They consisted of eight tracks with two main singles:
The first single "Phool Phulok Rodore Phool" was released on 20 May 1997 in memory of Late Dr. Boikuntha Nath Gogoi's Birthday. It was available on Radio & Vinyl and never made available for sale in Cassettes and CDs.
The second single "Meghor Boron" was released on 1 November 1997 marked Zubeen's first music video. It was available in Television, Radio and Promotional Cassette.
Mukti was mostly notable because it was the first Assamese album to entered Audio CD format along with his other album Snigdha Jonak. Prior to this Assamese album, the very first albums to enter the audio CD format in Assam was Shaan's album Love-Ology and Raageshwari's album Duniya, which was released in March 1997, and both were their first solo album.
