Annotation

This album can be very confusing: First, the same CD was released as CAS71972 (note the similar catalog number) on the now-defunct Castle/Pulse (UK) label - see the back cover image I uploaded, which displays the 'Pulse', 'Castle', and 'St. Clair' labels. The front covers of all three appear to be identical.

Second, this "Volume 1" is identical to CD #1 of 'The Irish Folk Collection: 60 Favourite Irish Songs', a 3-CD set also on the Castle Pulse label and released in 1995 (PBX CD 509). "The Irish Folk Collection - Volume 2" and "Volume 3" match CD #2 and CD #3 of that 3-CD set, respectively.

Finally, tracks #17-18 of my CD differ from those listed here (my #17 is "Rocky Road To Dublin The Dubliners" and #18 is "Polkas: The Glenside Jigs The Glenside Ceilidh Band".
