A Prairie Home Companion: 25th Anniversary Collection

~ Release by Garrison Keillor (see all versions of this release, 1 available)

Annotation

Some errors in the liner notes: it states that all recordings were at the Fitzgerald (World) Theater unless noted, but other sources conflict with that. Some of the dates also conflict with other sources.

  • Nobody Knows You When You're Down & Out was recorded at Variety Hall Theater (this pre-dates the show's residency at the World by 4 years).
  • Turn Your Radio On was recorded at the St. Paul - Ramsey Arts and Sciences Center Sculpture Garden.
  • Minneapolis Blues was recorded at the Landmark Center.
  • A Summer Night was not part of A Prairie Home Companion but a separate performance by GK and The Hopeful Gospel Quartet.
  • Nearer My God to Thee was recorded 1998-10-31, not 1999 (verified with show).
  • Green Summertime is from the 1999-07-03 show in Vienna, VA (verified with show). Also Greg Hippen was the bassist, not Dick Hedlund.
